RECALL EVENTS — PRIVACY POLICY

Recall Events ("Recall", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

PHOTOS YOU SELECT When you choose photos for a reconstruction, Recall reads the images and their embedded metadata (such as the time a photo was taken and, if present, its GPS location). Selected photos are resized and sent securely to our processing service solely to generate your reconstruction. We do not store your photos permanently on our servers, and we do not use them to train any models.

RECONSTRUCTIONS YOU CREATE The reconstructions you generate are saved locally on your device. If you choose to share a reconstruction using a share link, the text of that reconstruction is stored on our servers so the link can be opened by others. Shared reconstructions automatically expire after 90 days. Photos are not included in share links.

USAGE COUNT To operate our free monthly limit and subscription features, we store an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for your device along with a count of how many reconstructions you have created in the current month. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.

SUBSCRIPTIONS Recall Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Subscription status is managed via RevenueCat, our subscription provider. We do not receive or store your payment details.

LOCATION NAMES When a photo contains GPS coordinates, we convert those coordinates into a place name using a third-party mapping service (OpenStreetMap Nominatim). Only the coordinates are sent, and only to obtain a place name.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT Recall does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or precise device location for tracking. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising.

Data Retention & Deletion

Recall Events does not require an account. Photos and event data shared in collaborative events are stored temporarily on our servers and automatically deleted within 30 days. Shared report links expire within 90 days. Anonymous usage counts reset monthly. Reconstructions you create privately are stored only on your own device — deleting them in the app removes them permanently. All server-side user data is automatically deleted within 90 days.

CHILDREN Recall is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

CHANGES We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
